Terms & Conditions

About Your Reservation

Moyo Safari organizes and coordinates tailored safari experiences across Tanzania. We work alongside a network of trusted lodges, camps, guides, transport providers, and activity partners.

A reservation is officially confirmed once Moyo Safari sends an email confirmation to the address you provide. This document outlines the services you have booked and serves as the agreement between you and Moyo Safari.

Please review the details carefully and contact us immediately if anything needs correction.
By submitting your deposit, you acknowledge and agree to all Terms & Conditions listed here.
Guests making a booking must be 18 years of age or older.

Payment Requirements

Deposit

A deposit is required to secure any safari booking.
The amount varies by itinerary and accommodation level.
For lodge-based itineraries, the deposit is typically 50% of the total trip cost, and is non-refundable.

Remaining Balance

The remaining balance is due on the first day of your safari.
We accept cash payments in USD, as well as credit card or PayPal transactions.
Please note: digital payments include a 5–8% processing fee, charged by the payment provider.

Cancellation Rules

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to: info@moyosafari.com

The following terms apply:

  • 21+ days before departure: No cancellation fee

  • 7–21 days before departure: 50% charge

  • 72 hours – 7 days before departure: 75% charge

  • Less than 72 hours before departure: 100% charge

  • No-shows or late arrivals: 100% charge

Missed services, unused activities, or late arrivals are not eligible for refunds.

Conduct Guidelines

For safety and comfort, guests who are clearly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs may be refused participation without refund.
If a guest becomes impaired during an activity, they may be removed and transported back at their own cost.

Guests are responsible for any damages caused through negligent or reckless behavior.

Changes, Delays & Unforeseen Events

Occasionally, circumstances outside our control—such as weather conditions, political events, road closures, equipment failures, or operational challenges—may require adjustments to the planned itinerary.

If a significant change or cancellation becomes necessary:

  • We will notify you as soon as possible

  • We will propose suitable alternatives

  • If no alternative is accepted, a refund will be issued once the supplier reimburses Moyo Safari

Events classified as force majeure do not make Moyo Safari liable for additional expenses or losses.

Travel Insurance Guidelines

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers:

  • Trip interruption or cancellation

  • Emergency medical treatment and evacuation

  • Lost or damaged luggage

  • Personal travel delays

Moyo Safari cannot be held responsible for expenses or losses that insurance would normally cover.

What Isn’t Considered a Service Issue

The following situations are not considered service failures:

  • Minor delays or schedule changes

  • Unpredictable wildlife sightings

  • Normal variations in climate, weather, or environmental conditions

  • Discomfort arising from natural elements (heat, dust, insects)

  • Issues resulting from misunderstanding or ignoring pre-trip instructions

  • Personal expectations not aligned with wilderness travel

Should we discover an error that affects your booking, we will notify you within a reasonable timeframe and offer options, including a full refund if necessary.

Website Information & Updates

While we work to ensure accuracy, details on our website may change as suppliers update their services, seasons shift, or adjustments occur.
Moyo Safari retains the right to update prices, itineraries, or descriptions at any time.
We are not responsible for accidental errors, outdated information, or typographical mistakes.

Liability & Responsibility

Safari travel involves inherent risks. While we take every precaution to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, Moyo Safari is not responsible for:

  • Injuries, illness, or accidents during activities

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings

  • Delays caused by third-party operators

  • Wildlife behavior or natural hazards

  • Issues beyond our direct control

We partner only with licensed, experienced suppliers, but all guests participate at their own risk.
